Music doesn't care about personal boundaries. A good song will break down all your walls, cut deep into your soul, and unearth secrets that you thought were buried too deep. And for some reason, everybody is okay with that. I guess we want songs to push our boundaries. People are drawn to songs that resonate with their own experiences, even if those experiences are uncomfortable. Music dosent stop us from feeling pain, it just allows us to feel pain in a beautiful way.
I write songs because I find songwriting fascinating. By combining words and sounds that literally mean nothing, we can create something that so profoundly impacts our being that it brings us to tears. That ability to create such deep feelings is why I love song writing, and why I play music.
